At 4 weeks of age, 20 birds (10 male and 10 female birds) were used to measure the initial weights of dressed carcass meat and each bone part. Another 60 birds were divided into 2 groups with 3 replicates of 10 chickens (5 male and 5 female birds) each. The control group received a basal formula diet only and the experimental group was fed 40 g fermented edamame meal per bird for a period of 30 min before being fed the basal formula diet.
