Recent Advances in Green Technology for Industrial Pollution Control

Description

The current environmental challenges related to increasing industrial wastewater, solid waste, biorefractory contaminants (chlorolignins), heavy metals and microbial corrosion are the supreme concern for environmental safety. Environmental pollution over the past two decades, various technologies has been researched in-depth for their potential to overcome the pollutant from the environment but with limited success. Recent advances in Green technology seem to be a promising option to tackle these environmental challenges on a sustainable basis. The green technology covers, biogenic materials, biofilm, bioagumentation of potent microbes, consortium, phytoremediation, heavy metals removal and recent advances to mitigate the microbial corrosion. So, this special issue entitled “Recent advances in Green technology for Industrial Pollution Control” is therefore conceptualized to cover the recent advancement for the environmental pollution control with significant novelty and scientific impact. The scope of the present special issue covers the following topics:

  1. Advancement in the green and eco-friendly technologies for industrial waste remediation and their recycling.
  2. Bioaugmentation, phytoremediation and remediation of heavy metals, biorefractory contaminants, organics as well as inorganic nutrients.
  3. Green technologies, mechanism and concern models for microbial corrosion.
  4. Fates and application of Biogenic materials/Nanosensors for detection of environmental contaminants.
  5. Novel green approach for valorisation of industrial waste to valuable products.
