However, due to the requirement of ultra wideband signals, existing location system usually faces problems including complexity, robust and cost, which limit the potential applications. In this study, we propose a new approach to achieve ultra wideband signal through frequency synthesis. The system will send series of narrow band signals and utilize signal processing algorithm in the receiver to obtain an effective ultra wideband signal but with significantly decreased complexity and cost.
